Implementing a tailored remote working program for a global corporation

L2P has been working with the USA division of a global corporation, to design and implement a tailored Remote Work (RW) pilot program. A global shift toward a new way of working has been evolving for a number of years and now the pandemic has demonstrated RW is a viable option in today’s economy.

Recognizing there are numerous benefits and challenges with remote working, our client was looking to build a sustainable Remote Work program that would support both their business and individual working preferences.

L2P was engaged at the conceptual stage of the pilot to assist with overall project coordination and to help our client shift toward a new way of working. By applying L2P’s Remote Work Framework, we helped our client ensure all relevant considerations were factored into the program design.

Consistent with the theme of remote working, all of L2P’s support on this project has been delivered remotely. In addition to providing overall project coordination and helping the Sr Leadership design the program, our support has included:

• Assessing the organization’s maturity and readiness for accelerating RW
• Developing detailed implementation roadmap creating alignment across the organization
• Conducting 18 remote workshops analyzing 200+ business processes across entire business unit to understand impact of RW
• Building a RW best practices database
• Defining new RW competencies for leaders and participants and building RW training materials
• Identifying key metrics to assess program effectiveness
• Introducing appropriate digital and collaboration tools
• Creating 80+ individual RW action plans to drive personal accountability
